The Town is now accepting applications to the 2018 Community Recreation & Culture Grant (CRCG) Program

Applicants must support the Parks, Recreation and Culture mandate to enhance quality of life and promote healthy living by providing access to recreational, cultural and active living opportunities. Application Process CRCG funds are available to not-for-profit, charitable or volunteer based organizations or groups active in Collingwood. Applicants must speak to PRC staff prior to submitting an application. Call 705-444-2500 or email crcg@collingwood.ca. Citizen Engagement

The Town of Collingwood is seeking applicants for the following Committees/Boards: Citizen engagement for a healthy, creative and active community Collingwood Heritage Committee Applicants should have an interest in heritage conservation, historical research, historical building materials and techniques and have good communication skills, demonstrate initiative, and positive attitude. Collingwood Public Library Board Applicants should be passionate about the importance of public library service in Collingwood, believe that a vibrant cultural life is important to a healthy community, be committed to the idea of lifelong learning, believe in providing fair and equitable access to library services to all members of the Collingwood community, be open to new ideas and be willing to listen to the community?s needs and wants. Museum Advisory Committee Applicants should have an interest in historical artifacts and events, background knowledge and experience which will be of benefit to the operation of the Museum, encouraged to be a member of the Museum, demonstrated leadership (mandatory for chair), good communication skills, demonstrate initiative, and positive attitude. Applicants must submit a completed application including a brief statement as to why they are interested in the committee/board and how they believe they could contribute. The application is to be submitted to the undersigned no later than: Friday, October 6, 2017 at 12:00 p.m. All members appointed to committees/boards must reside, own or rent property within Collingwood, be a Canadian citizen, and over the age of eighteen. Grant Program for Heritage Properties

The Town of Collingwood Council and the Heritage Advisory Committee are pleased to announce a Heritage Grant Program for 2018. Through this program, owners of designated heritage properties may be eligible to receive a grant toward the conservation and restoration of the heritage features of their properties. Upon satisfactory project completion, the grant amount is one half of eligible project costs to a maximum grant of $3,000.00. The grant must be matched by a contribution from the owner and is based on the owner?s actual expenditures as verified by invoices. The property owner may receive one grant per calendar year. Applications will be reviewed on heritage merit. Eligibility criteria and application process are outlined in the Collingwood Heritage Advisory Committee Grant Guidelines.
