Join Downtown Collingwood in celebrating the launch of the Christmas Season in Collingwood starting on Saturday activities... from a special Holiday Market that gives you a chance to stock up on homemade holiday goodies, to strolling entertainers... culminating in the arrival of Santa, the lighting of the town Christmas you in the holiday spirit. Begin the day who are joined by local artist and artisans bringing you the last of the seasonal harvest, exceptional meats, preserves and baked goods at the Christmas Market. Enjoy traditional mulled wine on the patio at the Tremont Café, set in the heart of the Christmas Market, or pull up a chair and sip delicious apple cider by meet and watch talented local artists creating their masterpieces right before your eyes. Santa?s reindeer in training will be in downtown Collingwood for the day as they bring holiday wishes from the north pole - a delight for both young and old. Located in front of the town hall the reindeer and their keepers will answer your questions about FleetWood Dance Centre returns with their live ?Nutcracker? dancers in the storefronts along Hurontario Street and the kids will love the activities on Simcoe Street, where they create ornaments for free at the library. At 5:00p.m. begins the annual Santa Claus Parade. Filled with special sleigh... be sure to follow behind him to where you can see the lighting of the town Christmas tree. Santa Claus and his Reindeerin Training are returning to


Christmas season all kids (big and small) will have an opportunity to visit with Santa in his big sleigh when he comes to downtown Collingwood on Saturday, November 26, December 3, 10 and 17. Santa will be available for all to give him their wish lists beside Town Hall under the clock tower from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. on the Saturdays leading up to his big night. You won?t want to miss Santa?s reindeer in training. They will be joining Santa at Town Hall. We are never sure who will be there; Dasher or Donner. The reindeer trainers will be on hand to answer all your reindeer questions too. After you have given your wish list to Santa, why not take the opportunity to explore some of the eighty plus boutique shops and artisans that downtown Collingwood has to offer. Bursting with even for all those ?hard to buy for? on your list. Then reward yourself with something to please your palate from one of the more than thirty restaurants. This holiday season, come downtown, and come home for the holidays.
